DIODE:An Electronic Device that restrict current flow chiefly one direction.n electron tube having a cathode and anode.A two terminal Semiconductor device used chiefly as a rectifier.

TUNNEL DIODE:A heavily doped junction diode that has a negative resistance at very low voltage in the forward baised directions due to quantum mechanical tunneling and a short circuit in the negative bais direction.This is called ESAKI TUNNEL DIODE.
